THE BRIEF
HBO (Home Box Office) is an American premium cable TV network, owned by Time Warner, under the operating subsidiary Home Box Office Inc. As of January 2012, HBO’s programming reaches 29 million subscribers in the USA, becoming the second largest premium network in the United States. We were asked to prepare a pitch for the European programme. A series of idents to identify the products in our market.

Many alternatives were considered, including a proposal with a mythological taste, made of stars, alternative worlds and fantasy, expressed in an eruption of characters, beauty and explosive power. The other proposal, on the contrary, focused on the product; by using fragments of diamonds which, through the use of reflections, transparencies and lights, would enhance the brand. The third and last proposal was linear, clean and geometric, making clever use of colors, while giving to footages a very logical order.
